Day 20 – Portrait of Anne

Today’s painting started as another exercise in putting splotches of watercolor on the paper, then seeing what emerged once it dried.

I started with the purple and the peach and the blue came after I saw her face emerge, to give her a hat and a dress.  Details such as eyes, mouth and nostrils were added last.
