Friday Art Feature – New Art by Me, “Wonder”

This week’s scheduled featured artist, sends her apologies.  Unfortunately she has had some internet problems and wasn’t able to be interviewed for today.  We’ll have the pleasure of looking forward to seeing her artwork and getting to know her another day.
Instead, I’ll feature one of my new pieces of art.  It’s so new that this is the first place I am posting it.
I had this idea of a mermaid above the water, in wonder of the things we find ordinary.
Wonder

Wonder by Tori Beveridge 2012
I worked digitally, using Poser, PSP and PS.  I began in Poser with my own morph for Victoria 4.2.  (Lots of dials – you basically sculpt her body and face with them.) She was rendered nude and bald.
Wonder WIP
I then took her into PSP and PS and did the postwork, painting, and composition.  Like many of you, I use purchased elements in my composition. For this piece, this included elements from Water World by Ilona and Madame L. and Flutter by Barnali Bagchi (aka Moonbeam1212) and background from Sea Scents by Bez Boardman.  All have been modified to suit my palette and my whim.  They are all available for purchase at the Renderosity Marketplace.
You can view a larger, but still smaller than the original, version of this piece in my Deviant Art gallery.
This piece will be available as a print and also on products in my Zazzle store.  I will be sending her to be tubed, so she will be available as a tube from Artistic Dreams Imaging.  I’ll let you know when everything is available.
I hope you enjoyed this mini art feature.  Drop by next Friday when I’ll be featuring artist Monika Ptok-Byard.
